In my 35th year at Hal High and my 14th year as Principal I have said many times that “I have the best job in Ontario” and this year proved that once again. Education is more then literacy and numeracy. It is about life in all of its amazing richness and variety. It is about inspiring the next generation to feel confident about themselves. It is about inspiring the citizens of the future to ask questions and find answers. It’s about taking chances. It is about being tolerant and compassionate. It’s about being caring and loving. Education is also about appreciating a work of art, a piece of music or sports feat. Education is about learning how to win graciously and to lose with dignity. Education is about life and living and its something that should continue until you take your last breath. I strongly believe that the quality of our student and the dedication of our staff will ensure continuous growth of success and everlasting Red Hawk Pride in our school family.
