
Summer School
A variety of summer school courses are offered throughout Trillium Lakelands District School Board during the month of July. If sufficient registration is received, courses will be offered in Lindsay, Fenelon Falls, Haliburton, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Little Britain, and Bethany.
There is no cost to the student for summer school programs and courses include a parent-teacher-student conference to review the student's progress. Transportation is not provided but a travel allowance is available for all students attending.

Summer school courses include the following:
Grade 7 and 8 Literacy and Numeracy Non-Credit Program
• Wednesday July 2 to Friday July 18
• Monday July 21 is a parent/student conference if needed
• Class Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Course requires principal’s recommendations and is intended to better prepare students
for the academic requirements of the following school year
• Current school marks cannot be changed by participating in the course
• Students will receive a summer school report card
Grade 9 to 12 Literacy and Numeracy Remedial Upgrading Program
• July 10th to July 20th
• July 21st is a parent/student conference if needed
• Class Hours: 8:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. (49.5hours)
• for secondary students who have completed but failed a Mathematics or English
course
Grade 9 to 12 Credit Program
(Co-operative Education – Paid and Unpaid Placements
• July 4th to July 28th
• Class Hours: 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. (114 hours)
• Full credit program for high school students
Virtual Summer School
Virtual Summer School is offered through the Virtual Learning Centre. Traditional summer school format has been ongoing where students travel to a school to attend summer classes. Alongside the regular summer school format, some courses are available online for students.
