The grade fours in Mrs. Longhurst's class didn't receive any pen-pal responses until very recently, but they still wanted to participate in the website project in a big way! So, in addition to their page, they prepared some information about Canada, partly in French and partly in English, and the grade eights helped them make both English and French versions.

CANADIAN ANIMALS
The "grizzly bear" is a big brown bear and it lives in B.C.. It can have cubs that is a baby bear that likes to play near trees. The Canadian goose est brown, black, and white. It grows from an egg. It flies from Canada to Florida.
L'ours grizzly est un grand ours brun qui habite en Colombie Brittanique. Il peut avoir des oursons qui aiment jouer près des arbres. L'oie canadien est blanc, noir, et brun. Ça pousse d'un oeuf. Ça vole entre le Canada et la Floride.
White trillium is a special flower that grows in the forest and it is very pretty it grows by paths and a lot of people like it .
Le Trillium blanc est une fleur spéciale qui pousse dans la forêt et c'est très belle et elle pousse de long des chemins et beaucoup de personnes l'aiment bien.

The first dollar in Canada was made
in 1858. Since then money has gone across Ontario . The most
common bills are the $20 bills, $10 bills, $5 bills, and
then the coins. We have the $2 coin (tooney), the $1 coin
(looney), the 25 cent coin (quarter), 10 cent coin (dime), 5
cent coin (nickle), and the 1 cent coin (penny) pennies from

There are 5 great lakes. Lake Erie, lake superior, lake huron, lake michigan and lake Ontario. Lake superior is the biggest great lake.
