Voluntary, Confidential Self-Identification for First Nation, Métis, and Inuit Students
School boards across the province of Ontario are working on ways to support the achievement of First Nation, Métis, and Inuit students. As part of these efforts, Trillium Lakelands, like other boards across the province, has developed a process called Voluntary, Confidential Self-Identification for First Nation, Métis, and Inuit Students. We encourage parents of students with Aboriginal heritage to consider participation in this process.
A brochure and form that provide detailed information about the process and how the information will be used and protected are both available on the Trillium Lakelands DSB website (www.tldsb.on.ca), or can also be requested at the school.
